I live in West Sacramento, California with my husband and our seven-year-old son, both of whom are the funniest, sweetest people I've ever known! I just turned 33 (YIKES) and refuse to fully grow up. I am a licensed hairstylist and makeup artist. I am also licensed to do nails, but the only nails I like doing are mine!
Growing up, I was a classical pianist, and I still play whenever I get the chance. The past couple of years I've been trying to learn to play guitar from my dad, but it's not as easy as it looks! Now my hands bring home the bacon. I guess what I'm saying is my hands have been front and center my whole life, and I love to dress them up in pretty colors and designs!
My absolute favorite polishes have depth and sparkle (GLITTER), although I loooove a beautiful peachy nude and creamy vampy blues, greens, and burgundies. I always use China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat under all my manis. With the beating my hands take on a daily basis, I don't even mess with top coat... I use Winning Nails Tough Coat Bonder/Sealer I get from Sally's Beauty Supply on the cheap. That way, if I don't have time to switch my nails up for a few days, I have zero chips or tip wear. I moisturize with hand cream throughout the day (I adore Hemp Hand Protector from the Body Shop) and pair it with Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Balm before bed every night. Soft as a baby's bottom, y'all.
One last thing... I have a movie reference for EVERYTHING. My family tries to stump me by throwing out the weirdest words they can think of to see if I blank out, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm just warning you, be prepared for crazy random movie quotes. Thanks for visiting!
